For the 16th Annual Bozeman Ice Climbing Festival,
the ice is coming to downtown Bozeman!
On Saturday, December 8th we will be holding two climbing exhibitions on a man-made ice-tower
erected on the lawn directly adjacent to the Emerson Cultural Center. In addition to the climbing
spectator events, we will be hosting a community winter carnival, the “URBAN BASE CAMP.” We
invite you to be a vendor and become part of what will be the most talked about event of the winter.

The “Urban Base Camp” is an opportunity for our ice festival sponsors, local businesses, conservation groups and other like-minded winter enthusiasts to get outside, farmer’s market style, celebrate winter, and experience first hand what the much-talked-about Bozeman Ice Tower movement is all about.
Come share your brand and products and meet hundreds of local and visiting climbers, as well as your Bozeman neighbors.
The “Base Camp” will consist of tent and table spaces lining the perimeter with the impressive ice tower the centerpiece on the north end of the park. There will also be climbing gear demos on a unique “Ice Boulder,” food vendors, activities for kids, fire pits and plenty of Montana hospitality. Immediately after the Base Camp, BIF will host a celebration of climbing in the Emerson Ballroom with a live band and tasty local brews from Big Sky Brewing for the adults.
